What’s the difference between the return-to-zero of main board and that of ink cartridge? For the sake of self protection, printer manufacturers will separately add the counting function on the ink cartridge and main board: To add the one-off cards on the ink cartridge and set the limit of printing points on the main board. printer will stop working when the reading of counter is full. CISS uses the permanent chips on the built-in ink cartridge, requiring no decoding or return-to-zero, needing not to replace the ink cartridge and chips. As long as the chips are not damaged, they will be identified by printer permanently. CISS for the limit of printing points set on the main board, printer will only work after return-to-zero done by the dedicated software. There are mainly three return-to-zero methods available at present: ssc return-to-zero method, return-to-zero method of maintenance software and manual return-to-zero method. The corresponding return-to-zero methods may be chosen according to the different models of printer.
